No Labels Kansas Political Party
As of May 15, 2026, the Kansas Secretary of State's office recieved notice of the termination of the No Labels Kansas political party. By statute, those who were registered as No Labels Kansas will be automatically changed to unaffiliated in the voter registration files. Being unaffiliated, you can affiliate with a political party up to and including election day. If you were registered as No Labels Kansas, the election office sent out letters to inform you of your political change. If you have questions, you can contact the election office or the Kansas Secretary of State's office.

IMPORTANT AUGUST PRIMARY INFORMATION!!
Candidate filing deadline for the August Primary is June 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM (noon).
Last day to change your political party is June 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM (noon). If you send in information to change your party after that day and time, you will have to wait and change your party after election day. State law will not allow us to hold onto those changes to change later, we have to send your request information back to you and you will have to change your party after election day.
Deadline to register to vote if you are not already registered in Stevens County is July 14, 2026. You can register to vote at the Stevens County Clerk Office, or click HERE to print a voter registration card, or go to Online Voter Registration Application
To find out if you are already a registered voter, your party, and address on the voter registration file, go to Voter Registration Lookup . You can also use this to see if your ballot was received (if voting by mail), and to view a ballot sample (when they are posted).
Advance voting (mail ballot), you can request a mail ballot at any time by contacting the county clerks office at 620-544-2541 or stopping in. There is also a form online MAIL BALLOT FORM which you will have to print, fill out and can either mail, email or hand in to the county clerks office. All ballot requests that are received by July 15th, will be mailed out on July 15th, 2026, and everyday as requests come in. DEADLINE to request a ballot by mail for the August Primary Election is July 28th. ALL ballots MUST be received by a polling place or county clerks office no later than August 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM or it will not be counted.
Early - In Person - Voting will begin on July 21, 2026, at the county clerks office (200 E. 6th Street, Hugoton). Voting times will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will end on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM (Noon). You must present an approved photo ID to vote.
Currently we are expecting the canvass to be held on August 11th, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the commissioners meeting room (200 East 6th, Hugoton, KS). IF you had to vote provisional (including but not limited to your information you stated does not match the voter registration records), the commissioners will follow Kansas statutes to approve your provisional ballot or disprove your provisional ballot. IF your photo ID is expired at the time you vote (unless you are 65 years old or older), your ballot will be provisional and you have until canvass to bring an updated photo ID to the county clerks office or to the canvass.
